KL ALTERNATIVE BOOKFEST (KLAB) 2014 + ART FOR GRABS

NAZRI HOPES MALAYSIANS read at least 20 books a year by next year, and not 2020. But with the number of books (and comic books) being banned by Zahid, maybe there will only be 20 books left to read by 2020. So, fulfilling both Nazri and Zahid's ambitions, KL Alternative Bookfest brings you many interesting titles that are not banned (yet). Sponsored by Buku Fixi, Art For Grabs joins forces once again with KLAB to present a whole gallery of local independent publishers, plus book launches by Roman Buku, Lejen Press, Dubook, Selut, and SIRD, and a discussion by the intellectual folks at BFM Night School on Books They Forgot To Ban. Meanwhile, Art For Grabs hosts regular and new vendors, selling lovingly homemade wickedness, including drawings, photos, posters, paintings, crafts, soaps, jams and dolls.
